For the last time, it's ISRAEL, not ISREAL. Pronounced iz-ray-el, not iz-ree-el. I hear people who should know better (reporters, mostly) mispronounce it all the time. For that matter, on NPR's Weekend Edition 2001-FEB-10, George W Bush himself said it right, then "corrected" himself and said it wrong. What was that Churchill line about stumbling over the truth?
